Bono Stellar
Nawwar Shukriah Ali, better known as Bono Stellar, is an art director and multidisciplinary artist based in the city of Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.
The Kuala Terengganu - born artist makes art out of iridescent films and plexiglass but her true materials are light and space. In her body of work spanning drawings, visual merchandising, interior design, product design, installations, and photography, Bono merges references to art history and architecture her experience, and personal reflections on her past, present, and future.
Working primarily with iridescent films, mirrors, and plexiglass, her goal is to create work that appeals to the imagination and the senses, abandoning fidelity to the visible world in favor of exploring abstractions in truth and transparencies.
