Prominent text-based artist Trina Teoh returns to Cultprint with a new edition that distils the quiet intensity of her iconic installation. This deeply personal work probes our relationship with language—how text can hold space, create intimacy, and reshape the way we read one another.
Each edition is presented in a custom, artist-designed transparent acrylic frame, intentionally folded at a 90-degree angle. The physical bend echoes the ‘corner‘ invoked in the poem, allowing the work to exist as both a print and a spatial object. Through this simple yet deliberate gesture, Teoh transforms a poem into a metaphysical sanctuary away from the ‘noise and lights‘.
About The Artist
Trina Teoh is a writer and artist. Her practice explores the hybridity of text and visual art. She began her career as a street artist, painting prose throughout George Town and Kuala Lumpur. Her debut exhibition, Valley Deep Into You, showcased her text-based work in forms of sculptures, installations, and prints, broadening her work from the streets into a gallery space.
